Video contests!
One thing that alot of firearms channels are doing these days are video contests.
Stuff like:
"Create a video response as to why you are a firearms owner, include you shooting your favorite weapon and why it is your favorite weapon" Winner gets a My little pony T-shirt. Okay not that...but you get the picture!
It's a great way to both build the community more as well as getting to know other members of the community. Start off small, and see where it takes you. If it gets no real traction AT ALL, you've started out small and the net loss is minimal.
Just an idea for a great channel!

Good idea, and another possible prize that I believe people would like is a gift card to his store,

It would be a good prize and would likely draw more attention and visitors to his online store.

I like this idea, I myself just started posting gun vids and this would be great to bring channels together! FUNFUNFUN interaction!
