    suggestion for a board here

can we have an "AOW" board for 'all other weapons?' This would leave a place to discuss chemical deterrents, expandable batons, police and RP-24/side-handle baton use, tasers, and the like for self defense. This could even cover keychain type weapons like the kubotan and pressure point assist tools.

What is a more straightforward word for your board? Maybe non-lethal weapons?

That'd work well. Especially since we have forums for the two major forms of lethal weapons already (guns and knives)

    non, or less-than-lethal.

well.. "less lethal" is an oxymoron. It's lethal or it isn't, but if you meant "less than lethan" I'm not too choosy about the title as long as it gets the point across.
