Can't speak to the mk40 specifically but I carry a Kahr PM9 which I think is absolutely great. I've never had any problems that I can think of. I would assume the mk40 quality would be on par with the PM9.
I understand that all kahrs are very well made and reliable.Never personally owned one though
I have a Kahr CW9 and like it a lot. I have never had a FTF or FTE with it. The trigger is more of a DA than striker fired. If you want it for carry it would be a great option, but if it's more of a range toy I would try something else! That's just my opinion though![]()

I have carried a K9 with CT grips, and it was a nice gun, though I'm not a big fan of Kahr triggers. long, heavy triggers that don't release till they are nearly back to the frame. If you like the feel of a heavy trigger double action revolver, you'll love the Kahr.
