Can I get some direction of where to locate this particular handgun. Would really like a custom but Les Baer wont do a 10mm but would also get a production made if the right one. Made in the USA Only do not want import.

Colt Delta Elite - Good luck finding one for under $1500
Kimber - About as pricey as the Colt
RIA (I know you said no imports but it is what it is)

Just a suggestion, if you want a more powerful 1911, go for a .460 Rowland conversion. Go big, or go home. :)

My boss just followed your advice and got this one for his 30th birthday...

The Kimber 10mm is the way to go. Eclipse Custom II. I did a video on it. One of the best 1911's made. Very low recoil for a 10mm

I would love a Kimber, but I'm unable to convince myself to part with that much money...especially in this economy.

If you're stressing over the cost of a 1911, good ones aren't cheap. Maybe Glock is a better solution to your needs.

Yep, which is why I already own a G20SF and a G29SF.

Yea, things have been a little "tight" in my household too! Good choice on the Glocks though.

My next gun purchase will be the RIA in 10mm.

Look at the gun as an investment. I always tell people that you get what you pay for and you'll get back what you pay. If you like the Kimber, save and invest in the Kimber. If you take care of it, you really are not out any money in the long run.

They have shown over the years to always appreciate in value, so what ever gun you buy you wont lose should you need to let it go in the future. I believe in "buy once, cry once". Buy the best you can now. You won't regret it. If you need to save up a little, just do it. You'll be alot happier in the long run.

I will have to remember the "buy once, cry once" of course I will say it is a copyright by Gunnr LLC lol. I've had a couple of friends buy a firearm because of the price and I just shake my head. Guns are the ultimate you get what you pay for.

Guns are an investment and ammo is an expense. But a fun expense.

So last night I finally decided to purchase the RIA 1911 Tactical FSII in 10mm. I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of what many consider to be an entry level 1911.

I sure hope it performs good and shoots straight for you. After you run a handfull of boxes of ammo through it you have to give us a review on how it ran....

I agree, the only person my guns will make any money for is my wife when I die.
