By any chance does anyone know what the requirements are to own a gun in the state of CT? The reason I ask is because like most of you know the gun laws here in NY are the hardest in the country and make it hard to go shooting with friends. For those that don't know here in NY if you don't have a handgun or rifle permit you can't handle a firearm. Wich sucks because my friends wanna come shooting with me but since I'm the only one with the permit I'm the only one allowed to handle a gun. In order to get your permit you have to not only jump through hoops but also pay nearly $5500 to get it. Hopefully if the laws are relaxed in CT my friends and I can atleast drive one state over and shoot!

From NYC to Vermont it's about an extra 6hrs for me. From here to nj it's an hour. From ny to pa or ct it's any where from 2hrs to 3hrs depending on traffic.
