Like most people their first gun was something given to them by their father. In my case, I'm the first one in the family who grew up and became a gun addict with no family influence. My dad had a single shot shotgun witch he still has, but that was just for putting down an animal on the farm. I never even owned a .22 rifle growing up. My first ever fire arm was a Springfield XD witch i purchased the day i got my CWP, so at age 21 i finally had something i could use to defend my life with.

I had shot guns owned by my father prior to owning my first gun, including a Gov't 1911a1, a Tokarev TT33, S&W hand ejector .38 special revolver, a Ruger Mk I and Bearhawk .22LR, an 8mm Mauser, 7.62x39 SKS, Marlin lever action, Beretta Silver Hawk 12 gauge side-by-side, and others (all inherited, and mine now) but the first weapon I owned, was the one my father bought for me when I was about 14, which was a Marlin model 25 .22LR bolt action, with a very nice leather sling. I still have it to this day. Great little rifle, and very accurate.

The first gun I ever owned was a Marlin 336 that my Dad got for me for Christmas when I was 15 or 16. It still is one of my favorite rifles. I'm 32 now and it still looks NIB.

Im lucky to have a family that loved guns and I grew up around guns ever since I first started walking. But the first gun i ever owned was my still most favorite Colt single action army 4 3/4 barrel given by my late grand daddy. I love this gun because I always remember my granddad carrying it around on his hips while in his farm when I was younger and have always ask him if he would ever give it to me. Before he died in 1994 he gave me the gun and I was so happy not knowing just a couple of days later he would pass. I still thank him till today and I sometimes wear it on my hip when I visit my ganddads farm.

First rifle was a Marlin bolt action chambered in 22WM. First pistol was a Sig Sauer P220 made in Germany with "American" style thumb mag release (Purchased new in 1989). Traded the Marlin, still have the P220.

those p series were great guns for the money they were going cheap after they lost the gov contract to beretta I think they were already set up to mass produce the 89's you could pick up for well under 300 bucks wish I would have got a few myself

My 1st gun was when I was a teen and bought a Marlin Glenfield 22 semiauto rifle. Great little plinker, it reaked havoc on many baby food jars and coke cans at the dump. I wish I still had it. Those were some fun times...

My first gun was a Brno Model 5 22lr which I think is a cz 452? not sure. Got it when I was 16 from my father. Now on the same birthday my older brother got a new calculator in those day was just as expensive as my Brno. Now he is an accountant and me a photographer and a product designer. LOL You can guess on what I design ~ golf gloves - computer bags/ range bags -shooting gloves .... Design what you love!
